Pieces of My Home helps you photograph and list what's in your home, note where things are kept, and set reminders. We built it so your information stays with you.
Everything you enter stays on your phone.
We don't run servers, and we don't collect, see, sell or share your data.
There are no ads, no tracking and no analytics, and no third-party code that collects data.
The app has no internet access of its own.
The app saves what you enter only on your device:
Photos of rooms, items, serial plates and receipts
Item details such as name, brand, model, serial number, value, location and notes
Reminders, and bills and renewal dates
Door, keypad and reset codes. These are encrypted on your phone (Android Keystore) and need your phone's PIN or fingerprint to show. They are left out of PDFs and exports unless you turn that on.
Camera system details. The app has no password field for camera accounts.
Dialcode LLC never receives any of this.
Camera: to take photos of rooms, items and receipts.
Notifications: to show your reminders.
Run at startup: so your reminders are set again after your phone restarts.
Vibrate: for reminder alerts.
Fingerprint or PIN: to unlock door codes. Your fingerprint never leaves your phone; Android checks it.
To add photos you already have, the app uses Android's own photo picker, which shares only the photos you pick. The app has no access to the internet, your location, your contacts or the rest of your photo library.
The app turns off Android's automatic backup and doesn't sync to any cloud. Your data exists only on your phone. If you uninstall the app or lose your phone, the data is gone, so save a PDF or export of anything you want to keep.
Only when you choose to send it:
Sharing a PDF or export (for example the insurance PDF, prep checklists or a breaker label sheet): the app makes the file only when you tap to create it, and you choose where it goes through Android's share menu. Door codes are left out unless you choose to include them.
Help and feedback: the app opens your own email app with the app version, Android version and phone model filled in. Nothing is sent until you press Send. We use your email only to reply and to improve the app.
Paid extras are bought through Google Play. Google handles the payment under its own privacy policy. We never see your card or payment details. Google tells us only that a purchase was made, so the feature unlocks.
The app is meant for adults and is not directed at children under 13.
Delete anything inside the app at any time. Uninstalling the app removes all of its data from your phone. Because we don't hold any of your data, there is nothing for us to delete on our side.
If this policy changes, we'll update it here and change the effective date.
